We've got two cow skulls. This one's Pedro. The other is Rosie. She's nailed to a tree (she was there when we bought the house) and is not nearly as photogenic as Pedro.

I periodically try to do something interesting with Pedro, moving him around the yard and garden, but so far not entirely thrilled with results. This is the best one so far, but might fiddle around with him more as time goes by.

I never knew people had these things in their yards. You may want to try reshooting in softer light and see how it turns out.

love the light and shadows

Hey, having a skull or two is not that unusual. I have a moose skull, but can't really move him around because his teeth keep falling out!

Wow! At one time, Pedro was one biiiiiiiiiiig beast, wasn't he! I do prefer live Pedro's, but you have done an excellent job of creating art out of poor Pedro's demise.

I think it's the rope around his horns that caused Pedro to die of shame. :-) Really a nice skull shot, though - the setting suits and the light is really nice for this shot. I like the way it creates that shadow against the fence - not only does it give depth, but the shadow of the horn hooks around the knothole in the wood.
