a very unfair DQ in my opinion...

its just a girl in front of a picture in my pc monitor, you can see a thousand picture like that, that didnt DQ, anyway, the rules are made from the SC to obey to them, cant do anything...

its pointless to link these photos that were made the same way...

although this photo had taken 6.1 and was my highest rated photo...
Disqualification Details
You may include existing images or artwork as part of your composition as long as the entry does not appear to consist entirely of a pre-existing photograph in order to circumvent date or editing rules, or to fool the voters into thinking you actually captured the original photograph at the time of this capture.

If it was a manatee it would have been ok. ;)

About the DQ: IMO another example of a misguided and altogether mis-interpretation of a rule by the SC. Boo on them. Too bad :(

What a pity, George! This was one of my favorites. Congrats anyway.

In my opinion this photo does not fool the voters into thinking that the photographer actually captured the moon at the time of this capture.

As I see it, this is not a realistic shot. The careful viewer may easily realize, that the relevant size between the girl's figure and the moon is unnatural. Not to mention the DOF!!! It s a setup! Thats why this one should not be disqualified because the careful viewer easily realizes that either the moon or the girl is a fake. The photo does not fool the voters into thinking that the photographer actually captured the original photograph at the time of this capture.

In conclusion if this is a single capture, then in my opinion its legal according the advance editing rules and should not be disqualified.

Wow! That's an amazing moon shot. Great idea to use the silhouette. Is it really a single exposure? Great work!

The more I look at this, the more I like it. You know what I like best? That I can see her eyelashes so clearly. I can see this on the cover of an album too.
