This was taken around the edge of Fort Wadsworth underneath the Verrazano bridge. Love the place, its a museam now, and this was taken in the area next to the battery bunkers dug in the trenches. It looks like an old city underground. This was my last shot of the entire photo shoot. I took about 150 shots of the entire museam and I forgot to change the Aperture setting here. No sharp DOF really needed and I could use more light here. The original was very very dark, luckily I switched to RAW for this shot.

POST PROCESSING: Single RAW file re-exposed before I opened in photoshop, Lasso Levels on the entire foreground. Lots of highlight adjustments.

Didnt think it would even score past 5.5. Or maybe I thought it should, knew it was too gloomy...I had to share this trip with fellow DPC'ers, "21.gif Dano6" and my sister "21_F.gif gtroia" and we were fighting over getting the best vantage points and shots, and even which ones to post for a challenge, but beat them to this one"! lol. missed out on a 5.5 score, yay! :(

Silent movie scariness. I gave this an 8.

I really enjoy images like this - spooky, ethereal in some ways, menacing - very well done. The little flaws with the overly dark foreground on the right can't be overlooked, but again, very effective image.
