This is an outtake from the Illuminative challenge, but I figured it had a better chance in a Free Study. Plus, I liked this shot with an oncoming car way down the road.
I may get dinged from a few for the "distracting" flare (I can see the comments now), but I like it. It gives it a movie feel as well as an otherworldly aspect.
Usually I am working as hard as I can to bring as many stars out as possible, but this time I selectively dodged the bright ones around Orion to make it more apparent to people. I also cloned out a telephone pole, wires, and a small sign. Blech, I hate manmade objects.
For those who paid attention to the darkness of the sky in the Illumiative challenge, this was taken about 10 minutes after the start of astonomical twilight and the sky still carries a blue hue picked up by the camera.

I def see what you were going for Doc and I actually think the shot is great but I do believe the dodging of the stars to be a tad heavy handed and unnecessary for the image, I like the flare and headlights but the stars bring the photo into the realm of digital art imo
