Great location to make the pooch really stand out and good DOF. I'd perhaps crop a bit off right and top to avoid the centered composition.

VERY sweet shot! Not only did you catch a wonderful glance from your subject, but the setting is very lovely. The color is good and the DOF is perfect for this shot, and the composition works well with the slight diagonal created. You could get away with cropping a bit from the right if you wanted to, too.
