 I could have used any shutter speed as it was in the dark with a flash. And for once the challenge did not state that it should be made a creative use of this second :)

Hardly any editing: cloned out a spot, a little bit of levels on the shadow side and sharpened.

Not sure about pointless, but I very much like the lighting and composition on this. The petals form some nice contrasty stairs for my eyes to walk up.
