Nice shot, but would have preferred to see more sky, less dark foreground. lhall

Something is wrong I voted on this once and it didn't go through. My comment was "Red sky at night, sailors delight". Beautiful sunset. I like the way the clouds are swirling in the sky. It is a good 8.

S or U/L is unknown to me, but irrelevant for my score. Very nice shot, in the top 10. Score a 7. I might prefer a slightly less bright sun position, ie , wait a few more minutes. Did you take any like this?

Colours are great..

I must not be familiar with this particular superstition

challenge -- till the cows come home? i think you met the challenge. hope i'm guessing the right one here.
technical -- your horizon needs leveling.
composition -- a house (if there was one) would've made the challenge clearer. not knowing what was to the left of the frame, i wonder what it would look like if the cow was placed in the right of the picture so that it leads the viewer through the pic, not out. love the colors of the sky.

and the myth would be...
not familiar with it. nice photo though

nice capture and beautiful sunset. just remember that the horizan needs to be level so it doesn't give a "crooked" impression.

can't go wrong with cows.

This is a pretty cool picture. I'm not sure what the superstition or urban legend this shot is referring. My scores this week have not held that against a photo, since I don't know about all of them. Fortunately your score will be made on photo quality, which is very good. - Inspzil

Not sure how this fits in this week's challenge. Nice colours though. There might have a slope to the left, but I'd like to see a flat horizon and maybe a little lower. Nice effect. Jacko 7.

pretty picture, don't see the relation to the challenge, giving you seven anyways.

Any body up for some cow tippin'?
11/06/2002 01:24:00 PM
Could have been really nice but there is way too much 'nothing' in the bootom of the frame and the horizon is tilted. Maybe a slight rotational crop and putting the horizon on the bottom third or even below in this case.
11/05/2002 09:03:00 PM
Well... I'm unfamiliar with any cow legends or superstitions, and a quick search on google didn't help... It's a really nice photo though. Good use of negative space!

fantastic sunset(rise?) Looks like theAustralian aboriginal flag? Red and black fields with sun in the center. one of my favorites.

Theme?
11/04/2002 11:36:00 PM
VERY pretty.
11/04/2002 01:30:00 PM
cool shot.
crop a bit off the bottom or top so the horizon doesn't run right through the middle of the frame, I think the rule of thirds would work better here.
I wonder what a cow at twilight means?
11/04/2002 11:49:00 AM
doesn't fit the challenge at all........ 1

Awesome picture! But I'm not familiar with the superstition/urban legend. Tell me what it is! This challenge is so hard to vote for! 9/10 anyway! erin_m02

Don't know this superstition/legend. Sounds interesting. Love the picture. The horizon is a wee bit slanted to the left. 8
11/04/2002 06:03:00 AM
nice picture but I don't understand it.
Is it something to do with "Red sky at night, shepherds delight?"
11/04/2002 12:26:00 AM
beautiful photo, but is this a well known superstition?
