This is Kari Ann, greetings from the Critique Club:
composition: good choice of not setting the subject right smack in the middle, for this isnt a very strong subject in the first place.
color:the grey wall dosent accent the clock very well, but im sure that this was all you had to work with
contrast: contrast is good on the clock, but the wall is very monotonous.
focus: good focus
depth of field:not any to speak of here
lighting: strange lighting...i'll explain more in a second
other: The way you processed this image is very strange. The clock seems to be that of a computer graphic (though i know its not) I think mostly due to the fact that the wall is so flat and the clock is so vibrant. while this picture properly conveys the act of one second, its not very original, thus the lower scoring from voters. I do like, however, the second hand not being blurred, thats something that sets this picture off. All in all, a good shot that needed a little somethign more to push it over the edge. Keep up with the work, and I definatly look forward to whatever else you put out here on DPC! If you have any other questions or comments, feel free to PM me anytime.
