 When you visit Norfolk VA you see these mermaid statues all over. This one was sitting near a pagoda and I liked how her arm was reaching out to the ship.
It rained the entire time we were visiting. Yuck.

Very nice sense of design in this capture. I like the white outline you achieved through PP, it adds contrast and emphasizes the great sense of movement.

I like how he mermaid reigns over the picture, and good job bringing out that detail. I agree about the oversharpening, but it's almost to a level to be an "artistic effect". Feel free to tell people it was intentional for that purpose. :)

She is a charming and unique mermaid, and contrasts well with the dull grey day. I think she should make future appearances as a cool addition or overlay in other situations.

I love your mermaid, but having some problem with comp and effect. even though all is maritime and have a connection they are all struggling to be the main event.

Oh my, note to self ... do not work on photo projects without your glasses in the future. Now that I have my glasses on this morning I can see that it is absolutely oversharpened. YIKES.

This is a fun image.. I like how the red contrasts the dull greyness of the surrounding.. This is a bit oversharpened for me.. but great subject and comp..

when I first seen the thumb I thought superhero, when I clicked my first thought was one of the girls on the front of a vikings ship. then I read the title. Never seen a red mermaid (never seen a mermaid). This is cool. I like the way she seems to flying above the dock.
