I guess there are many who remember those tractors well. These are the Farmall Cub or International Cub (or simply "Cub" as it is widely known). It was the smallest tractor manufactured by International Harvester. I´m pretty sure this is the 1955 model. Photo from abandoned farm on Reykjanes peninsula, Ásláksstađir.

This is so much more interesting than any other shot dealing with this subject...wonderful sense of loss!

not just a good capture - but a nice vintage feel to the whole picture.

Congrats on your top 5 placing.

I'm guessing that the tractor is the focus of the photo. In that case, my suggestion would be to change up the angle on it, or crop in tighter - the rest of the landscape are distracting from it. I can see why it would be your subject. It's really cool.

Great photo. The high contrast really works, and I always like the high-detail wide-angle shots that give a real sense of perspective. The border puts me off, though, especially because it reminds me of a modern movie played on a 4:3 screen--not so consistent with the forgotten/old-timey theme of this challenge.

Really sharp photo making one think that if it was in color, the bleakness would still make it look black and white.

Liked the dramatic sky. Since the tractor is the subject, would have like more detail on it and less on the buildings.
