When I first saw this I thought simultaneously of my self portrait entry and of the possibility of its stunning commentary on the other challenge entries which of course you wouldn't have seen. Reminded me of cutout's dqed entry in the gems. But above all that it is almost offhandedly archetypal, deeply resonant.

Too bad you didn't get the brown: I gave it a legitimate (in my eyes, of course) 10, and it would have been fun if the image I thought was one of the two best in the challenge finished dead last :-)
