Wow I can't believe this ribbon'd :)

Just walking home and this character waiting for the bus struck me. At first I kept going but a while ago I promised myself to always stop and act on my instincts any time I get a gut feeling. Luckily I still had my camera attached to my tripod from shooting some cityscape stuff that turned out boring.

Processing wasn't a whole lot, aside from some vignetting of the outsides of the image and some dodging of the figure.

5 faves during voting that is definitely a personal best! Thank you all for the comments and votes.

ETA - here's the original, I suppose maybe that is a significant amount of PP

Congrats Adam! It feels to me like the tree is also waiting on the bus. Or maybe the tree was a person who waited so long they put down roots!

Gosh - well rescued from the original - I feel you captured in the title the hope that you wouldn't get mugged by late-night problem people. Looks just like Middlesbrough or many other cities at night. Very good choice of image, and completely on-target with the feeling. I like the warmer colour of the treatment, and the improved dynamics.

Well done!
