 Masked BG out (clumsy, in-a-hurry-deadline mask).

Used Topaz Adjust, mild detail setting, on a dupe layer, bird only.

Duped THAT and used Topaz Adjust, simplify setting and faded to 45%.

Hue/Sat to amp the reds and yellows a little.

Load the BG selection, make a new layer set to multiply, and use Lens correction>vignette on the BG.

That's about it. I could have denoised it but I was theoretically past deadline when I found this thread, so I just rammed it up there,

A lot of noise, but you succeeded in bringing out more feather details on the head than anyone else did. What did you do to achieve that?
