Wow... shocked at the number of people who actually read the title. And thanks so much for the first 9 vote... gave me hope for this one.

No joke with the title.

Is the moon really old?

This immediately raises the question as to whether the earth-moon system could be 4.5 billion years old, as most evolutionists insist. Would we not have lost our moon a long time ago? Using the appropriate differential equation (which takes into account the fact that the force of gravity varies with distance), Dr DeYoung shows that this gives an upper limit of 1.4 billion years.

Given that the moon is about 4.5 billion years old; you made me think about the significance of 10,000 years - Given this equates to about the beginning of civilisation, I wonder if this also marks the first evidence of the moon being thought of as beautiful.

Since beauty is subjective then something can't be beautiful until it is perceived as being so - thanks for the thought provoking title and image.
