This is the Surratt House, where John Wilkes Booth ended up after assassinating Abraham Lincoln. Mary Surratt, owner of the house, was the first woman executed by the US government for being part of the conspiracy to assassinate the president.

Editing: curves, crop, sharpen, save for web. No, I did not up the saturation - the house is already red and the sun, at my back, was shining brilliantly on it. Since it was setting, the sky was a brilliant blue.

Entering it because I like its cartoonish appearance considering its history...

I like the subject, but I'm not partial to the wide fisheye view and the high saturation on it. To be fair, it's a bit of the pot calling the kettle black (or orange).

What an interesting choice of colour for this house. Interesting. Lovely shot.

The bubble effect of the shot didn't come through for me. Love the contrast of the house with the sky.

this photo looks like it is too close to the camera to be seen. i have to lean back to get a good look of the whole house.
