It was kind of windy and I think the trees look alittle funky, not to mention alittle too dark. I'll chalk it up as mood on this one.

Beautiful muted colors; I like how the leading line pulls me right into the photo.

This sucks you right in! Literally! LOL! It has almost a vortex feel to it that I think has to do with the clouds. Love it!

I like this. The road rises up to meet me, as in the old blessing.

Wonderful perspective, the road just draws me right into the image. I like the bit of motion in the trees, adds to the sense of motion in the clouds for me. I really like the subdued tones as well, this is fantastic. I used to live not far from Hidden Valley :-)

Yes, this is an inviting road. I like the texture in the foreground, the way the clouds seem to radiate outwards from the tree, and the way the tree conceals a little so that we can wonder what may be awaiting discovery.

And the mood IS very effective. Right from the thumbnail, it had me. The road seems to pull you in and wonder what lies ahead. Excellent suggestive image! And I don't hink there too much road in the FG. It helps creating a sense of having the road at the feet of the viewer.

Great DOF in this, the foreground kind of plants you down but the rest of the image pulls you into it. Lots of movement in the sky points to the horizon. The trees tend to anchor the movement, if they weren't there your eyes would sail down the road to nowhereland. I like looking at this and wondering where it all leads to. It has dreamlike effect.

Interesting composition. I can't quite make up my mind about all that road in the foreground. Part of me wants to chop some off. The other part is fascinated by how it smooshes down into the road going off in the distance.

I might lighten the whole thing up just a little bit.

Neat shot.

So many songs come to mind "Take the Long Way Home," "The Long and Winding Road," "Country Road," etc etc. This is classic. I like it very much.

Looks fine to me - even though you think it's too dark, I think it's very inviting. Everything from your composition to the flow of the clouds invites me to wander down the road and see what lies beyond. Excellent tones and detail, particular the foreground.

Really like the way the road leads you through this image. I have a bit of a thing about vanishing points and so this works so well for me. Love the muted colours in the processing.
