Yeah, yeah, some people won't consider the clouds "white" enough -- guess what I have to say about that ... :-(
Had this idea early in the week -- I was going to use an old portfolio image as the BG, but we had some good storm clouds the past few days so I took a new picture and printed it out on the 11x17 laser printer at work.
I was especially interested in completing this project when I noticed how closely the cloud formation mirrored the Batman logo ... :-)
Printed out a faded version of the Batman logo on a sheet of laser transparency, then rigged it up with some clips in front of the printout of the clouds, with the light behind the clear sheet to minimize reflections (see setup image linked below).
-Handheld, Tv mode, Manual Focus
-Fluorescent White Balance
-RGB Curve-1
-Create selection around sheet
-RGB Curve-2 (through selection to lighten sheet area)
-Blue/Yellow Curve-1
-Create new layer
-Clone to soften edge transition around sheet
-RGB Curve-3
-Blue/Yellow Curve-2
-Resize
-Crop top and bottom
-SaveAs JPEG at quality 10/10 = 200KB

I have to admit that it took me several looks to connect the batman spotlight with the "light" in the challenge. So now that I get it, it's more interesting to me, but still not very visually appealing to my tastes.
