Long exposure (6 sec) using the low iso (50) and a medium focal lenght (98 mm). The carafe and the glass are placed on a white paper sheet, curved at the angle, with a hole allowing light from below. There is another weak light source in the room, directed toward a white wall acting as a (kind of) reflector. All that after a lot of shots with specular light issues.

Raw processed with camera raw (CS4), rotate, crop, white balance, playing with contrast and exposure to obtain a high key. Much burning and dodging too. Globally, there was much postprocessing on this one.

Black frame added - I usually don't do that, but this image simply don't work against a white background without a frame.
