It looks like you may have shot this from a bridge. Something to think about... With wider angle shots, it is important to draw in the viewer, give them a real feel for the place. We can't hear the water or feel the cold so visually you need to stimulate those senses. The framing here doesn't give me a real sense of what you were seeing/feeling. I'm sure you didn't want wet feet but maybe you could have scrambled down to the side of the river to change the perspective. It's a gray winter day so there isn't a lot of drama unless you put the viewer's feet in the water! Make them cold! :) |

over all of the photo...doesn't appeal to me...it seems soooo very dreary |
