I'm assuming it's use of contrast that made the background whited out... I really like the way the pure clean background emhpasizes the gazebo, and also gives it a contemplative mood.

Nice, peaceful subject that's enhanced by centered composition. Wish there was a bit more dynamic range, or that at least the gazebo was darker, so that it popped more.
