A beautiful weekend in Vermont - sunny with snow...a can't miss combination.
Editing: Very minor edit, small crop to size, adjusted curves, levels, and hue/saturation, cloned out 'no hunting sign', save for web, sharpen post resize.
The resized image does not in any way do this shot justice. The original has so much detail and depth that this Web version just pales in comparison. The details in the tree trunk, the barn slats, the roof, everything.... I can't wait to have this printed in the Calendar I will be making with these shots...
Location
43°28'0.53"N
72°31'26.61"W
Yes, indeed...the tree. I was torn about trying to relocate myself to eliminate the tree, but to be honest, this is how I saw the image so I left it there. I actually think it balances the barn reasonably well...Any other thoughts?

Nicely shot. I was 50/50 on that foreground tree at first, but the more I look at it the more I like it there. |

excellent winter scene, the composition and color really draw you into it and as said earlier great exposure and WB to get the snow just right. |

Love the "New England Red" color....nothing in the world like it. The tree in the foreground is just a little distracting...step a little "left/right?" But a wonderful location, everything is clear and sharp...(nothing really to critique here!!!) |

I'm a real sucker for snow shots, and this one is beautiful. I've never photographed in snow, but have in very white sand, and know how tricky getting a good exposure can be. I think this would be a great entry as "February" in the calendar challenge currently running. |
