I wanted to do something dealing with the word "silence" in a different language other then english. I found this latin phrase and ran with it. The phrase reminded me of my senior thesis on the break up of the former Yugoslavia. I came up with this image after thinking about that time in History (and there are many more examples to draw from).

Qui tacet consentit: "He who remains silent consents" or "Silence implies consent."

Post Challenge
I should of put the English translation in during the challenge. Some people did look the phrase up, super cool.

This image was on the top of my list. Good idea and execution.

This was one of my favorites here. I liked the DoF which gives this a kind of 3D effect and the intriguing title!

Had to look up the phrase, as I'm sure many others have also done. A 7 for a nice strong image that makes a point, and for making me do some work to understand it.

What does this mean? I don't speak this language. Reminds me of one of my photos...

I like the POV, selective desaturation here. Lighting on hte post-it is just little too bright(looks little flat). Still very nice image. Good luck.

I think this is an interesting image. I don't feel that the post-it note has major impact in this picture, mostly because the majority of viewers can't understand the text on the note. I hope this doesn't sound discriminatory, but many here cannot understand the message parlayed on the paper. That being said, The selective de-sat and the composition are very good!

not sure what that means (title), but good focus, DOF, nice border, lacks pop

Ćutanje je znak odobravanja... nice, but would my comment constitute breaking the silence and hence not indicate consent?
Nice, refreshing, different from all others.

I love the contrast, and the emphasis on the note is great. Love it

I don't know what that means. I won't penalize you--so I am not voting on this one.

Interesting take. Love the selective color, fabulous dof. Just to really nitpick, the pattern on the cap just behind the middle and forefinger is distracting. Top 10 IMO.

Exellent image. Great use of desaturation. The paper seems to jump out the image. Too bad the message is not English - you could have put in the title, so I (and many others, I bet) could understand and have a better appreciation for the image as a whole.
