I like the effect :-) The lighting is good but the photo seems to be a bit unsharp. Also there are some strange reflections around the flame which are distracting. But anyway a good idea! -stephan

Good picture but a couple or so problems. Whe ring around the wrist? The way the hand look behind the fire. The clear holder the fire sits on in your hand shows too much. Hand a little out of focus. But good idea.

Well done! The focus on the hand is a little bit shaky, but in long exposure situations, it's more understandable. It still takes away from the picture unfortunately. - inspzil

You've forgotten that the light from flame will bounce off from the inner palm of the hand. Here we see clearly that the light is coming from the right of the hand.
