 I always wanted to try a dreamy feel in processing by it never quite worked. Htat is until I saw Melethia's gothic glow processing of her Old Building.

And so I downloaded the action and then went step by step to re-create it (dup the background, set blending mode to Multiply, add Gaussian blur, add new layer, stamp visible). I did some dodging on the gazebo. When applying gaussian blur, I applied different ammounts on the gazebo and the rest of the image. Sharpened the gazebo. Added some curves and changed the saturation.

Surprisingly, it did not take that long and was definitely quite a learning experience.

PS: decided to clone the bright spots. Thank you for the suggetion, lynnesite!

Has a nice dreamy feel to it. Comparing them, I can't even see the hotspots you were referring to.

Very charming! I'd consider burning those bright highlights in the lower left, if you wanted to tweak it a bit further.
