On camera flash doesn't help this image.
Try to ues a more imaginitive lighting setup. Either try to get your flash off your camera, or use window lighting or a reflector to make things more interesting and softer. |

| lighting is too harsh. you should not use your flash straight on, it should be bounced then you wont get the green reflection from the eyes. |

| This is the very definition of a snapshot. You need to be at eye level to make a good composition. |
