Literally, the day I learned how to shoot a silhouette. I was actually focused on catching the horses hooves hitting the water when I noticed one of the underexposures. I then promptly rattled off a whole series of them, including this one.

That's the rub of it, traditional antyhing really won't work. I do like your suggestion to go with a thin matte and thin frame. That's given me a set of new ideas.

Ooops, forgot to check back on this one.

Definately don't do a white mat. It would be jarring with such a soft, dark picture. I'd be tempted to do a black mat and black frame.

You could try a very thin inner mat with one of the sunset colors, a black outer and black frame, but I think that or anything else would draw attention to the framing--this picture should stand on its own.

Yes, for matting and framing. I'm not sure black frame and white matte will really show it well.

Very lovely! Color schemes for what? For matting and framing?

Thanks, I want to blow it up, frame it and hang it, but I don't know what color schemes would work well with the vibrant oranges and yellows in the pic. Any thoughts are appreciated.

This is simply beautiful. I think you caught this at the perfect moment. Excellent capture and very nicely processed.
