 Natural light, slight adjustments of tone curve in Lightroom, increased saturation slightly as well.

Her left eye is a bit dark, but I did not want to use fill flash... just the light coming in from the window. I actually like the effect.

Nice green eyes, and good focus control.
Somehow seems to be lacking some punch though.
Maybe it is the angle that you are looking down on the cat rather than getting down to the sme level. Bumping to a 7

The afghan definitely brings out the eyes. Nice choice of background! I might have opted for just a tiny bit more DOF to make sure her ears were sharp too.
