Bug on the window-sill.
It's a native to New Zealand, a 'Crane Fly' or 'Leptotarsus sp.' to it's friends.
Taken with extension tubes and on board flash..
Wasn't taken for the challenge, was messing about and saw this challenge and thought I should enter something, as I haven't for ages.
Post was rotate, crop, scape, one dust spot, curves, scale unsharp.

I gave a 1 because i doubt that this is a pet of yours, or of anyones. Mother natures pet doesn't qualify for me. Nice Crop, clean, vibrant, and sharp, but wrong challenge.

WOW ! Rare shot of a mosquito and a good one too! Not sure about it being a good pet or meeting this challenge.

There is no way this is your pet. Nice macro for a wildlife challenge, but it isn't a pet.

I'm sorry, but this is what folks call a shoehorn. Nobody has a pet bug. The legs are terribly out of focus and the lighting is just off.
