I have tried to concentrate on the "Lines are everywhere" title than, making it a puzzle per say. Or if it is still a puzzle, it is an easy one. :-)...Maybe if I had to make it a tad more puzzling, I would have cropped the top portion. But that would make it only level II puzzle... :-).

Now coming back to the details of this shot:

It took few steps:

1. Gather dried leaves. Fortunately I had a dinner at
my Boss' residence, and he has enough trees in the
garden. I collected a small-bag full of the fallen
leaves.

2. Wanted to go back-lit as an attempt to improve the impact of lines. Tried sun backlit on the kitchen window, did not work very well. Then tried I flash. Seemed better. Later used a micro-wave container(yellow/orange color), filled it with water, balanced it between two lens boxes so that some space is available to use the flash as under-light.

3. Dipped the leaves in the wanter. Experimented with various combinations. Started with one leaf and tested few of them for texture and photogenic appeal. :-). Shot with one leaf. Then added one more to add to the story.

4. Shot with a Macro Lens perpendicularly, from top.

Hope you like this!

Have a Good Week!

Excellent lighting and textures. The border works.

Searching the image/challenge titles for "life lines" gives me no hits so I have no idea what this is referencing. For that reason, I'm giving the image a 4 for now, and will decide how to deal with these unknown-referent images later. It's very nicely done, though :-)

I have stopped voting shy of 20%... The scrubber will erase your 4.

Tried but could not find the original brown.
Lovely image though with a nice background and pleasant vibrant colors. Nicely composed and presented. 7

If based on Lines are Everywhere, a vast improvement. I really like the narrow band of color, and the highly directional backlighting.
