 some dodge and burn here, some levels and saturation there. this is a java rice finch, pretty abundant here in hawaii. i dont think it'll do to well but you never know.

taken at 300mm from about 12 feet away in late afternoon sun.

Pretty cool finch and nice soft green background to set him off. The bird himself could be a tad sharper.

"A Simple Finch" You mean as in intelectually challenged ? . .

Attractive shot - perhaps could have gone for a more square crop to throw the focus on the star of the shot though ?
