These corellas were fairly high up a tree which was a distance away and the picture isn't very sharp.Corellas are a form of cockatoo, of which we have many varieties in Australia. They are pretty noisy, and destructive on farmland, but quite attractive looking.

I can imagine a flock of these would be pretty noisy! I can't quite imagine finding flocks of these in the wild, although apparently there are a couple of small colonies of them near London, which have resulted from escaped pets! Considering that you were stretching the capabilities of your camera for this shot, you came out with a photo that was certainly worth posting.

That is very cool that they are wild in your area! I like the crop and composition of the birds and the fact that they stand out very well against the dark green background. The two in the corner look so happy and the two at the bottom look like they want to hook up! :)

Always fascinating to see what we think of as caged pets wild and free. They really are lovely birds.

To think that these are almost a nuisance there. Neat looking birds!

It must bee great to have these about where you can see them wild, but like you said, they are very destructive. I have seen a documentary about them on TV.
The way this is lit, I am thinking that there may have been water or a reflective surface behind you, giving the shot a lot of front light from below.
I had a Goffins Too as a pet, and I miss him a lot. My son had him outside, and the alarm buzzer on the clothes drier caused him to fly away.

Yep these are pretty cool looking birds. I like the spooky look on the faces of the birds on the left. I think the camera exposed for the dark of the tree in the space between the 2 sets of birds.
