I like the crop to show just a hint of the horse protecting the young one who looks so fragile. I think if you had shown more of the larger one it wouldn't have worked so well. |

I gotta tell you, my girlfriend absolutely loves this shot. Thanks for putting a smile on her face.
Any chance you could choose a different crop to include more of the white horses face (if you did crop it out to begin with that is), or to crop out the white horse altogether? |

Definitely one worth keeping! Love the foreleg drawn up - I take it she was pawing through the dirt to see what was there? |

I like how the shapes of the horses "nest" together, and the shallow DOF helps frame the subjects well. I wish the youngster's foreleg wasn't quite so far forward -- as it is, it partly obscures the outline of the head -- but overall it makes a nice scene at once domestic and pastoral. |
