I gave this an 8 and the purple cast is all that kept it from scoring higher.

Excellent shot. Congrats on your high finish!

Texture and HDR - Nice. Seems to have a purplish tint on my uncalibrated monitor. Angle is a little disorienting to me.

Nice finish, Dick Richard! I love the title, and I like the way you've chosen to render the scene. I'm curious to see you're calling this a Ponderosa. I don't doubt that you're right (you live there after all, you *should* know, and I'm sure you do) but every Ponderosa *I've* ever seen, or heard of, is very tall and very straight of trunk... Is this a different variety of the family, or have I just been blinded by stereotype?

What an exquisite tree. It seems to be alive. Love also the perspective with the mountains at the back.

What an odd dynamic of nature... I pondered the 'forces of nature' on this fine photo!
