Been looking all week for a suitable shot. But the weather has been yucky and not many tree's standing alone here in Iowa. Last night we got a good 2 inches of snow so everything is pretty again so had to head out to see if I could find a nice tree. Finally found one in a bare field. This was actually taken from the car while moving (I wasn't driving). Not much editing, crop, resize, unsharp mask, border, convert to grayscale, and sharpen again.

Heavy JPEG compression is killing a lot of detail for you. It's a great scene, but comes across very coarse. I can especially see some compression artifacts around the top of the tree and the horizon.
