How beautiful he is and sweet to see him eating out of the subject's hand. The colors are rich and the detail is great. A delightful photo!

Its good to see a bit of colour - most UK birds are either very small and colourful, or larger, but dull! Good dof - the bird and hand stand out well from the background.

Lovely shot of the crimson rosella. I had a few fly past me yesterday but not a chance of capturing them.

What a gorgeous bird; are they in the parrot classification? Very good lighting as well.

Gorgeous bird!!! I've only seen one of these once, when a pet Rosella was surrendered to the animal shelter where I volunteer. This one looks tamer than the "pet" we had ;-)

What beautiful feathers on that bird. It's difficult to shoot this sort of shot with one hand and not shake the camera. I think that I would have tried to turn so that the bird would be more in front of the darker tree instead of the bright background.
I am wondering if you used fill flash? If you did, it's just the right amount for the shot. The exposure for the bird is right on, and the highlight in the eye is good too.
