Amazing! Thank you for showing us both seasons. It is so interesting how different the seasons make us feel when looking at photography. Both of these photos are so interesting, and I love the mood that comes over me when looking at both of them -- they are just so different. It almost takes you by surprise. Since I love winter so much, this one makes me happy to look at it. Gray winter days are my favorite. We get so few of them. And they make fabulous photos -- like this one :)
Charlene, not one single day has gone by that you haven't crossed my mind and been in my prayers! |

Great tree, nice composition. Sky in the BG it little too blown out though. I don't know if that's what you wanted(High Key image)

Wow - quite the difference! I like that you revisited this and that you included the other shot. They work nicely together. |

What a difference the season makes! Both are so different and yet they seem to fit the season so well. The lack of leaves, high contrast, and B&W gives this a great wintery feel, but without the snow. |

Very artistic....it reminds me of a photo from a time before. |

PAW - I love seeing the same scene in different seasons. That doesn't really work here in Southern California, since it would all look the same. There is a too much contrast in this one IMHO which loses lots of detail due to too much white and black. I loved the original from September and gave it a 6. |

Think I agree- as a purist - great! But I think I would have cheated the tones on the post and on the back trees to separate things a little and bring out your middle tree. I tried a little test below- see if you like it? I really hope this doesn't offend you, it really isn't meant, but if I'm overstepping the line, please let me know.

I like how the big sky makes it almost two tone. Very nice! |

A great subject for a b&w conversion. Very graphic. I'm not sure I like that the tree is growing out of the post. |

Quite contrasty and stark, which I believe is exactly your intention, in comparison to the season in the other photo. |

This is very pretty, but the focus on the tree seems a little soft. |

Beautiful and well balanced image of a single tree. Looks excellent in b/w. |
