This seems a little dark to me, and the pose is uncomfortable

A cute look, but the pic strikes me as a snapshot. I copied this into my image editor to see, and some quick adjustments made a huge difference. In particular, the levels adjustment really brightened this up. A little curves and shadow adjust brought some details out of the shadow.
