 I don't know if this was the best photo I took in 2008. It wasn't much a of a photography year for me. Anyway, this was an interesting (and somewhat scary) creature to find crawling up next to me on the sofa. He was alive throughout the shoot (and was still alive the last time I saw him when I placed him back out in the yard).

PS. If anyone knows what kind of spider it is, I'd love to know... (the reason I photographed him was to have someone on the arachnid boards id him for me)
