It's strange juxtaposition of a icy scene with some warm colors. It is amazing what the lens does to stretch out light.

I can't get away from the impression that these are two strange creatures with long snuffly noses, crawling from out of the sea onto the land for the first time. (clue: they are both looking left at the moment)

It almost has a sense of an overlay. I like how the rays create those broad stripes that cut diagonally across the page.
