The end of a trip to Namibia back in March. None of us wanted to leave. I happened to catch a friend gazing out the window and it fit how we all felt perfectly.

- Rotate -0.2
- Crop
- Levels
- Contrast
- USM
- Saturate teal and slide the hue to make it a bit more green

I like the mood of the shot. Not sure about the edge of the window cutting through his face though.

PostLuminous Award WINNER!
unusual approach, but well executed, resulting in a fascinating, compelling image. So much could be going on here, one has to wonder what it is--and so you have me intrigued.

Very cool shot. I love the subtle, yet powerful blue in the guy's eye. Actually, all the colors seem to have this understated power to them. Very dramatic skin tone. Great composition as well. An excellent photo that would fare well in a gallery. It's a shame DPC is full of consumer whores :P

First 3 second initial impression ... my eye goes straight to the green bar going across the window ... it's not obvious that it is a bus or train or whatever with the double layer window. The harsh glass also gets my attention as well rather than the person which is where I think my attention should be.

After a little while my eye is drawn to the person, the emotion he is showing is awesome, linked with the title as well really starts to draw me in and I really can relate to how he is feeling. Unfortunately I don't think I got this far in voting and I gave it a 5 ... maybe I should have spent more time looking .....

Possible improvements, imho, I assume this was a quick shot and no time to get in the right position ... but, if there was a little time ... I'd have moved further right and shot the window at an angle, I've found shooting straight on often removes depth from the photo so a bit of an angle can add some depth. I'd also like to see a tighter crop, maybe landscape orientation. If the shot was quick I'd still be tempted to chop some off the top ... you do need some of the window to understand where he is but I still want a tighter crop. I'd like the top corner above his head to not be so noisy, in advanced you could select that and blur or noise ninja (or equiv) it to smooth it off.

Lot's of wonderful emotion here. I'd try a BW version.

Strange looking dude. I love the composition and the tones but I think you over did it on the eye which is why he looks a little psychotic.

Once I recognized this as a bus window, I realized how perfectly this conveys the title and the idea of extreme boredom on a long ride. Well done. A high vote and a fave for this.

This is very intense. I'm feeling a strong story here. I love the style and the look of this photo. Its photography that reaches in and touches you without even knowing what the story is.

the deep tones, the scuffed and dirty window, the one eye visible, the other not, the downward look, and the low placement of the face - these components all together give the image a very dark and sad feel
