|This was taken an hour or two before (I'll have to look up the exact times...which I just did. This one was taken at 6:05 pm, the other one at 7:43 pm.). One can measure the quality of a photo in so many ways....I would consider this my best of '08 for a few reasons. First, I think it's pretty cool looking in general. Second, it has the potential to score pretty well (best according to DPC). Third, I'm not really a landscape/cityscape photographer, and we had just gotten the 10-22, so I think I did pretty well with a new lens and subject. It will be interesting to see where it lands!
Shot in RAW: adjusted white balance and exposure, converted to 16-bit TIFF.
Photomatix: tone-mapped, exported as 16-bit TIFF
Dodge/Burn all over the place
Added the vignette
Cloned a couple tiny boats in the lake that looked like bits of crap at this size
Various color adjustments (B/W layer, selective color, hue/sat, etc.)
