Shot from the Sky Pod of the CN Tower. Sky Pod is the world's highest public observation deck at 447 meters from the ground.

I've taken many photos of the CN Tower but I've never taken one FROM it so this is totally new for me. Also I've never taken aerial shots before so this may have flaws i'm not aware of.

This shot is of concominium buildings on Harbourfront, Lake Ontario, a portion of Toronto Island, (middle top), the tip of the Toronto Ports (top left) and the Leslie Spit (very top).

Raw shot, adjusted white balance, exposure, and saturation during convertion to TIFF.

Post-processing:

curves/levels adjustment
cloned out a crane sticking from one of the roofs of the building
perspective correction
usm

Canon 28-135mm IS USM lens.

WOWSER! where on (or off) earth was this taken? this is a fab picture... i do personally prefer the bottom half though - i think the expanse of water and the landmass in the background is a little surplus. if i were you i might have been inclined to take advantage of the great detail you've captured on the buildings and focus on them. it almost looks like a real screenshot from simcity! i love the closest buildings. what city is this? v. good - 8.

No kidding, this is WAY up. Nice vantage point and surprising details in the buildings. Contrast seems a bit bright but acceptable. I like how you included enough water to really enhance the feeling of distance.

An unusual view, beautifully exposed and sharp. It looks almost like a model, though it clearly isn't. Where was it take from - it seems too clear to be through an airplane window.
