 Mom (Carol) and Son (Charlie) on Charlie's 13th birthday. Taken after opening presents. A quick shot across the kitchen table using a fill flash (bounced on ceiling).

Editing: Blackened out background (very busy kitchen) as duplicate layer, minor exposure adjustment and minor brushes to saturate and burn in eyes and face

Another great photo. One thing I did notice, it appears that the blackening of the background overlapped Charlie's ear on the right.
