 This is one of my first favourite pictures that I did in 2008. This was my first attempt to photograph a water droplet with my first DSLR. I must have taken over 200+ pictures that month on three different occasions and this is the best one I came up with.

There is not much editing in this picture, pretty much straight out of my camera. Simply cropped adjusted a bit on the color, resized image, thin boarder around the edge and saved for web.

When I got hooked on DPC I knew next to nothing about photography, lighting, setup. This picture was taken with my old D40 and the onboard flash. When time permits I think I will challenge myself to another water-drop setup and see what I come out with.

very cool how water forms so many shapes when objects are dropped in - the colors emphasize the cool feel - and i like how the cherry is deeper in color

don't forget that you can clone out sensor dust and other little distracting bits - these take a bit away from the shot

Good concept, and capture. But focus is not sharp enough. Lighting is not very interesting.
