Taken last week but edited this week. Combination of sample actions from TotallyRad (and I'd provide a link but I can't seem to get the page to come up). There's one called Troy, which created the color tones, one that sharpens, and one that adds a slight overlay. Used those three, and cropped a bit.

I'd be interested in finding that action, the toning is great!

The main subject really stands out here which makes it a very sharp shot. Perfect DOF for the occasion.

Really nice. I love how you set your subject off both in DOF and through your processing. Exceptional candid!

All I can do is echo what others have said; you kick butt with your candids and the processing is fabulous!

You're the master of these candid shots and this is no exception. I've heard about those actions but never saw them in use - now I'm really curious.

The processing is wonderful! Love his expression, it seems we've all been there, huh?

Agreed!
Nice photo for sure, I like the processing fine maybe it lacks just a little depth.

Very Nice.

Not sure if I like the postprocessing, but it's a beautiful portrait. I like the DOF, the man with his paper and all the people in the background.

This is lovely! The main subject looks like quite a character, and clearly focused on something important! The processing gives it a classic feel, and except for man with the bold lettering across his shirt, the rest of the photo looks like it could have been taken years ago as well. Nicely done! :)

excellent job Deb - making a note about actions, I don't know too much about those.

I just downloaded those actions too. Can't wait to play with them. You have a knack for finding interesting people in the crowds.

Very cool, gives the man a lot of punch. Feels kind of like he's walking out of an old movie or something.

Ohmygoodness, I LOVE IT! Those sepia tones with hints of other colors glowing thru are amazing. That is one of my favorite tricks in photography, but mine don't really come out this cool looking! Totally Rad, huh? Wow!

The *only* thing I don't like about this is the slight textured/overlay, and I think the reason for that is that it makes him look like he is standing in front of a sign or something and disconnects him from the surroundings he is in. Other than that, this is an awesome shot!

this chap reminds me of james earl jones. that aside, this is a great slice of everyday life gone unnoticed by most.

I really like his determined expression. The way you did the editing is quite effective. Sometimes when you desaturate the surroundings, it looks weird but this is done effectively and in an artistic way. It makes him stand out, yet they all work together nicely. I wonder where he works.

Man I love that processing! The photo looks so solid, or something along those lines. The man's broad shoulders and torso along with the dark gray overcoat add to that feel. He looks purposeful. And there is so much visual interest and context in the background... really nice photo.

Dead neat, actually. The processing and d.o.f. has the one man standing out, but in addition there's an anonymity to the others. They could be, and be from, anywhere in the world - or maybe the white man's world if we should be entirely accurate. The main man is a true senior German.

Very nice post-processing. Nice composition. The guy in front really stands out. I like how the rest of it fades to B&W. Was that how it was or the TotallyRad? You're up pretty late. (eta) I guess it's morning there now.
