This was taken at Conneaut Lake Park in Pennsylvania. This is an abandoned amusement park and anyone can just walk around and check out the stuff. It surprised me the kind of access we had to everything. There were even two burned out arcade buildings still standing. Dangerous situation for people with too much time on their hands. Anyway, if you are in the area, it's a fun place to go and take pictures.
Lots of editing with Topaz Adjust. I wanted to go for a cartoonish or surrealistic feeling.

I figured this shot might have been yours when I was voting in the challenge. I really like context of the shot. The kids, fence, and waterslide make for a very fun dynamic. Good lines to boot!
Don't you just love it when the comments are all fabulous and yet, the score SUCKS?! ;)
Really, this shot should have scored so much higher! But, I guess that it's not traditional DPC look and you know how that goes, don't ya?
I still LOVE this shot, Mich! I hope it's framed and in your home because it's a really fabulous shot and the editing is superb! Really well done. It has a look of it's own that matches the subject and editing very well. Love it!!!
ETA: I find it interesting that the non-participants scored it higher than the participants. Hmmmm....could be a bit of a "bias" going on there???
I really love this Michelle. It reminds me of a Norman Rockwell type of photo. Childhood is so enhanced with your processing somehow. It just looks great!
This is just a great Americana image. I love the processing and how the girls' pants are around her legs (lol). The only thing that feels a little off is the angle
Not fond of the processing, but not a fan of this type of processing. Love the story it tells. I'm only bothered by the top right where the fence isn't. My only thought is to change the point of view slightly. 6
I love the editing in this! It's got a lot of character to it and truly matches the scene and the children in this shot. Love it, love it, love it! Why can't DPCers see this a true Photography? It is not just a skill (technicals), it's an entire ART FORM. This type of editing is truly an ART!!!
I'm sorry, this is just not my favorite kind of processing... the tones and textures seem too busy and unbalanced, imho. It is a neat subject idea, though.
And I thought they were all in time out! Made me giggle a bit until I read the title. I like how the child in the foreground has his head down, true defeat for sure.
