Really cool composition (pun partially intended) and nice soft reflection!

A different take...I like it.

I had this pegged for your image just from the thumbnail. The contrast and negative space on the ice really make this shot, and of course the B&W.

I like the simplicity in this one. I also like the high key effect on the ice.

Love this... simple, yet it brings a bigger picture and story to mind when I look at it. Focus is right on, and the b/w gives it a timeless feel.

Wonderful Charlene - yours are on ice, mine are on skates!

shaky on the icy pond
he teetered on his skates
a toothless grin was what he wore
to say "Ma, ain't this great?"

Ah, skating! I like the composition, the contrast, the reflection and all the details on the ice. Perhaps the right upper part is a little too lite, but it's not really disturbing.

Charlene, I just love your eye. What a great photo. Poor Moondog, by the end of the year, we'll have him raving about true artistry of photography like this, right? :)

I absolutely love this and wouldn't change a thing about it!!!! The composition is attention grabbing and tells a story (whether it is the same story you are telling is a different matter) and the bw makes it ageless.

I like it, it is really sharp and well exposed but I do not understand. I am just a dumb country boy.

This is excellent! Works great as a B&W. Simple but evocative. Nicely done.

Wonderful!!! Excellent tones. Despite the fact it's ice, it has a warm feel to it, and I really like that one lifted skate.

I like the image but would prefer seeing more of the legs.

Agreed. This tells a story quickly and simply. I like seeing the detail in the scratches and shavings on the ice.

Nicely done, it looks like it could have been tricky with the bright ice and the dark shoes, but you pulled it off beautifully. I love the simplicity of the composition; it tells the story.
