Ah, this one is excellent. Lots I like here - the tones, the scratches, the photograph in general, but I really love that single bird, barely visible, flying off into the distance. Really nice work. |

Wistful, and my kind of shot (the kind I like anyhow, since I seem to not manage to take them much, myself) - I do feel like I'd like the see less overlay scratches, though, especially on the birds. |

I get a sense that this is an old painting. I like the overlay. |

Lovely, good use of the overlay, kind of looks like a photo on limestone. Great tone and a lovely scene captured!

YES YES - the layering is terrific. It really almost looks like the image is printed on linen. I love it. |

Really nice. The overlays can tend to become addictive once you get started. I've found that subtle overlays can enhance an image greatly, while being almost imperceptible as an added layer. Sometimes they simply lend extra depth and richness. |

I missed this one, it's beautiful. I am gonna have to try overlays sometime, I have never used them really. My whole photographic life, basically, has been about clarity and sharpness, with the occasional mini-foray into "blur impressionism", until I decided to do the Lensbaby plunge for this new year. Feels good... |

Awesome wing spans caught and the overlay is wonderful. Really adds a bit more of a story to it, imo. |

OK, I'll 'fess up. I have done a couple of them myself.
Just a couple, though! |

I love these overlays. I have never done them and will give it a try (when ubique isn't paying attention).

I think the overlay is wonderful, but then I really like overlays :-) But it is not the cool overlay that makes this image, it is the image itself which is fabulous! I guess I like the overlay because it masks things just enough for me to not be sure what I'm seeing...is that really a fence along the beach and two sailboats on the ocean? those birds are just great. |

That's ok, everyone scratches them up the first time. :P
I would caption it "Where the hell does he think he's going?" :) You did a super job on this, Andi. |
