I found this very challenging! That lens is unforgiving. At least my eye looks okay.

Thanks for all the comments.

Jeff, all worthy comments on this excellent pic but Tom made me spit beer over my keyboard - friggin hilarious!

The composition, focus, lighting and pp'ing are all awesome!

Love the lighting and that Eye! Piercing!

Piercing, that eye - quite excellent. LB definitely contributes, but the effect is subtle.

Intense. Riveting. Bordering on dangerous. You can stand on my wall any day. Oh and yes, very nice use of the lens :-)

Super nice! I might like to see it with the chin in focus as well. Maybe stop down? Great lighting and image.

This is super fantastic, Jeff. Such an intense portrait, softened slightly with the LB. Your eye (I'm sure both) is perfectly sharpened and beautiful with the touch of color. Magnificent!

:o)

Whoa, super well done. The eye is tack sharp, and then you just melt away. (I'd be interested to know the aperture that you used here.) Very compelling self portrait, and the tones are deep, dark and delicious. I think that this may be the first SP that I've seen using the Lensbaby. Bravo!

Yes, I left a small hint of color in the eye. Thanks for the comments!

DAMN! A face that ugly should never be that sharp! Wait... Freida?

Man, that's remarkable. The deep black background has subtracted nearly all the LB effect, and so what's left is really quite startling. I've never seen anyone do this in this way before. Thanks for posting this new look at the LB.

Can't do that with my LB2 although I might have to try. This is incredibly sharp in just the right spot. Well done!
