 develop the raw with dpp. In photoshop:crop, levels,curves,b/w convertion with channel mixer,selective colours a couple of times,d6s,usm.

Very high key, high contrast with an old school feel to it. Maybe a little too blown in the upper left, but I think you conveyed the title.

Really interesting effect with the almost pure black and white (as opposed to grayscale black and white). It really fits this picture.

Not a terribly strong feeling of unlucky here, but challenge aside, I like the feel of this. Great high contrast processing too.

Contrast! Everywhere. He only has his shadow, whilst everyone else is paired up. Nice technique to simplify while staying within the basic ruleset.
